It's been a long time since I was here. So here goes!
Recently, I've went back to CCA to help out in the competition training. And through all these trainings, I've come to understand and learn a few things. During my cadet years, I learn from my seniors, everything about First Aid, Footdrill, TOC and whatever not. As I proceed to took over the corp with my batchmates, I slowly learn how to conduct lectures and teach footdrill. It's a challenge cause everyone individual is different. Some will be hard to coach, while some will be easy, and the sense of satisfaction comes when you get things done your way. After my cadet years, which is now and currently going on, my new position as a instructor of the corp, I've come to learn new things again. Taking over the responsibilities as one of the 3 main trainers for competition isn't really a easy job. Though we are well-versed in our skills and everything, but being able to do and being able to teach is two totally different things. To learn, it's easy. But to teach, it's on a whole new level of learning. To teach, you first need to learn, which is to have your basics right. Then to teach, you have to find the right method for specific people, and execute your training in your own efficient way.
Training for the school holidays are coming to an end. As such, I've come to realised that my training methods was wrong and inefficient. And as such, I've decided to change my way of teaching to a whole new different scale (but most probably still the same, cause I have not thought of what new teaching methods am I going to use). That's why, I've began on my new learning journey, which is to learn how to teach correctly and efficiently. To do that, I will have to gain experience and these are the things that make me feel that I've come to accomplish a lot, and it all voice down to one simple logic: Learning is a life-long process, which DOESN'T STOPS. It doesn't matter what you are doing, cause at any point in life, you are learning, be it positive learning or negative learning, you are learning something new, which will change your life in a way or another. I'm glad I am in this CCA.
That was the part on the things that I've been doing recently. As for family, friends and studies, things are still the same. No change, no nothing. So nothing much to talk about also. So that's all, bye!
